Production and delivery

Canvas and posters usually take a few days: the print cures, then the canvas is stretched over its frame and checked.

What can you print my photo or artwork on?
Stretched canvas: printed on 380 gsm artist-grade canvas with a semi-gloss finish and UV-resistant inks, hand-stretched over a 1.5-inch Canadian wood frame, and delivered ready to hang. Choose rectangle or square in 23 sizes from 9 x 12 up to 48 x 96 inches, or order the print rolled and stretch it yourself.
Posters: printed on paper in 12 x 16, 16 x 20, 20 x 28 or 24 x 36 inches, either rolled or mounted in a black or white frame.
Both are made to order from the photo or artwork you upload in the designer.
What is the difference between a stretched canvas and a framed poster?
A stretched canvas is printed on 380 gsm artist-grade canvas and hand-stretched over a 1.5-inch Canadian wood frame with a gallery wrap, so the image continues around the edges and it hangs with no frame around it. Sizes run from 9 x 12 to 48 x 96 inches, and larger sizes include a rear brace bar.
A poster is printed on paper and comes rolled, or mounted in a black or white frame, in 12 x 16, 16 x 20, 20 x 28 or 24 x 36 inches. Choose canvas for a gallery look and depth; choose a framed poster for a crisp, flat print with a visible border.
How good does my photo need to be?
Better than you think for a large canvas, and usually fine for a small one. A photo straight off a recent phone is generally good for the common sizes; heavily cropped, screenshotted or social-media-compressed images start to show at larger sizes.
Upload it and we will look at it. If it is going to print soft at the size you picked, we tell you before we print it, and either suggest a smaller size or ask for the original file.
What is the resin finish?
An optional add-on for canvas: an epoxy coating over the print that gives a high-gloss, glass-like surface and makes colours look richer and deeper. It is available clear, or with glitter through it.
It is chosen as an add-on alongside your canvas order. If you prefer the standard semi-gloss canvas finish, simply leave it off.
Can I order several canvases as a matching set?
Yes. Order each piece in the designer with the size you want, or send the wall measurements and the images with a quote request and we will suggest a layout and sizes for the set. Square and rectangular canvases can be mixed, and long formats such as 20 x 60 and 30 x 60 are available for panoramic images.
Can you do wall art for an office, salon or restaurant?
Yes. A set of canvases sized for one wall is a normal order, and so is a single large piece behind reception. Send the wall measurements, the images or the idea, and how many pieces you have in mind. If the artwork does not exist yet, our artists can create it. For several pieces, a quote is quicker than ordering them one at a time.
